Preparing for your lash appointment is essential to ensure a smooth and successful lash extension application. Here are some steps to follow to get ready for your lash appointment:

  1. Arrive Makeup-Free: On the day of your appointment, make sure your eye area is completely makeup-free. Avoid wearing any eye makeup, including mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow, as residues can interfere with the lash adhesive.

  2. Cleanse Your Lashes: Before heading to your appointment, gently cleanse your lashes with a mild, oil-free cleanser to remove any dirt, oils, or makeup remnants. This will help ensure a clean and optimal surface for lash application.

  3. Avoid Caffeine and Stimulants: To minimize eye twitching or excessive blinking during the procedure, try to avoid consuming caffeine or other stimulants before your appointment.

  4. Communicate Any Concerns: If you have any specific preferences, allergies, or concerns related to lash extensions, be sure to communicate them with your lash artist before the appointment starts.

  5. Consider Lash Style and Length: Think about the lash style and length you'd like to achieve. Discuss your desired look with your lash artist to ensure they understand your expectations and can customize the extensions accordingly.

  6. Wear Comfortable Clothing: During the lash application process, you'll be lying down with your eyes closed. Opt for comfortable clothing that won't cause discomfort during the procedure.

  7. Allocate Enough Time: Lash extension application can take anywhere from 1 to 2 hours, depending on the style and number of extensions. Ensure you allocate enough time in your schedule for the appointment.

  8. Remove Contact Lenses: If you wear contact lenses, it's best to remove them before the procedure. Lash adhesive can interact with contact lenses and cause irritation.

  9. Relax and Stay Still: Once your appointment starts, try to relax and keep your eyes closed throughout the process. Avoid moving or touching your eyes to ensure a smooth application.

  10. Have Realistic Expectations: While lash extensions can enhance your natural lashes significantly, it's essential to have realistic expectations. Discuss with your lash artist what look is achievable based on your natural lash length and density.

  11. Schedule Refills: Lash extensions require maintenance every few weeks to keep them looking their best. Plan ahead and schedule refill appointments to maintain your desired lash look.

By following these preparation tips, you'll set the stage for a comfortable and enjoyable lash extension experience. Remember that each lash artist may have specific recommendations, so it's always a good idea to consult with them beforehand for any additional instructions.
