THE STEPS FOR AFTERCARE:

Want the best results for your treatment?

Follow the steps below!

Eyelash Extensions

Prebook your Fills

To extend and maintain the life of your lashes, please remember to schedule your fills in preparation. Fills should be scheduled between two to three weeks of original appointment and made in advance to prevent disappointments because squeeze-ins cannot be guaranteed.

Any long or overgrown eyelash extensions will be removed during this visit, and new extensions will be replaced and applied. Refills help to keep your lash set looking complete and avoid damage from heavy and droopy outgrown lashes.

To be deemed a fill, at least 40%-50% of the lashes on each eye must still be present. Anything more than 3.5 weeks is deemed a full set.

Wash Extensions Daily

It is very important that you are washing your lashes morning and night, at least twice a day minimum, with appropriate lash cleanser and fluffy brush. Not the spoolie. Make sure you are cleaning in-between your extensions, on your waterline, your eyelid, and under your eyes. You must also wash your lashes if you have been excessively sweaty, oily, cried or went swimming.

The primary purpose of eyelashes is to prevent dirt, dust, and other debris from entering your eyes, so having eyelash extensions increases the likelihood that this will happen. Any of the aforementioned items can weaken glue bonds over time and can contribute to retention loss if they are not regularly cleaned out. If you are not consistent in cleaning, you may develop eye infections or see demodex flourish on your lash line. A clean lash line is a healthy lash line.

Avoid Oil-Based Products

Avoid any oil-based products or makeup around the eye area as these can break down the adhesive and result in pre-mature lash fallout or poor retention.

Avoid Picking or Pulling Lashes

Avoid picking, tugging, and rubbing your eyelash extensions; instead, be gentle with them. Roll your spoolie on the lash tips lightly while brushing them out. You might unintentionally snag on the extension's base if you are too near to it. This might cause permanent hair loss.

Avoid Extreme Heat.

Whether it is a very hot blow drier, scorching oven, bbq, lighting a smoke, or even extensive sunlight, be sure to protect your eyelash extensions. They are made of PBT plastic which is prone to singeing and melting if in contact with extreme heat. Wear glasses if need be.

Sleep On Your Back

Try to sleep on your back as much as possible because sleeping on your side or front typically results in your face rubbing against your pillow or bedcovers. Most pillowcase fabrics (particularly cotton) and blankets contain stray fibers that can tangle with your lashes. Furthermore, pressing your face against your pillow can flatten your eyelash extensions, deforming their natural curl or interfere with the adhesive's attachment.

No Mascara or Falsies

Do not apply mascara or falsies over top of your lash extensions, this will not only ruin the fluffy appearance of your lashes but will also cause damage and will be more difficult to remove.

If you feel you are having a reaction or infection, please seek medical care and inform your artist.

Lash Lift and Tint

After undergoing a lash lift and tint procedure, it's essential to follow these detailed post-operative instructions to ensure optimal results and maintain the health of your lashes:

  1. Avoid Touching or Rubbing Your Lashes:

    • Refrain from touching or rubbing your lashes for the first 24-48 hours post-treatment to allow the lifting solution to set properly.

    • Touching or rubbing can disrupt the curl and affect the longevity of the lift.

  2. Avoid Water and Steam:

    • Keep your lashes dry for at least 24 hours after the procedure.

    • Avoid steamy environments such as saunas, steam rooms, or hot showers during this period, as moisture can weaken the lash lift.

  3. Avoid Oil-Based Products:

    • Steer clear of oil-based makeup removers, cleansers, or moisturizers around the eye area for 24 hours to maintain the integrity of the lash lift and tint.

    • Oil can break down the lifting solution and cause premature loosening of the curl during the processing time.

  4. Skip Mascara and Eye Makeup:

    • Do not apply mascara or any eye makeup for the first 24 hours after treatment.

    • After the initial period, use only oil-free makeup products on and around the lashes to preserve the lift and tint without compromising the results.

  5. Be Gentle When Cleansing:

    • Use a gentle, oil-free cleanser to wash your face, avoiding direct contact with the lashes.

    • When drying your face, pat gently with a soft towel instead of rubbing to prevent damage to the lifted lashes.

  6. Brush Your Lashes Daily:

    • Gently comb through your lashes each morning using a clean mascara wand or lash brush to maintain their shape and separation.

    • Regular brushing helps prevent lashes from sticking together and maintains the lifted appearance.

  7. Apply Castor Oil or Keratin Serum:

    • After the initial 24-hour period, consider applying a nourishing product like castor oil or a keratin-based serum to the lashes.

    • These products help moisturize, condition, and strengthen the lashes, promoting overall lash health and supporting the effects of the lash lift and tint.

  8. Protect Your Lashes While Sleeping:

    • Avoid sleeping on your face or with your lashes pressed against a pillow to prevent flattening or misshaping of the lifted lashes.

    • Sleeping on your back or using a silk or satin pillowcase can help maintain the lift.

  9. Schedule a Follow-Up Appointment:

    • Plan to schedule a follow-up appointment as advised by your technician to upkeep the effects of the lash lift and tint over time.

    • Regular maintenance appointments help ensure your lashes remain beautifully lifted and tinted.

  10. Be Mindful of Eye Irritation:

    • If you experience any redness, irritation, or discomfort in your eyes or around the lash line, discontinue use of any products and seek professional advice promptly.

    • Allergic reactions or irritation should be addressed immediately to prevent further complications.

  11. Monitor Lash Health:

    • Keep a close eye on the health and condition of your lashes post-treatment.

    • Promptly report any unusual changes or adverse reactions to your lash technician or a healthcare professional for appropriate evaluation and management.

By following these comprehensive post-op instructions diligently, you can ensure the best possible outcome from your lash lift and tint procedure while maintaining the health and beauty of your lashes.
